I craft my essays about community, curiosity, and creativity with insights, stories about people making positive differences, and resources that may inspire you to make one of your unique contributions.

I've always been curious and wanted to know how everything worked, from myself and my family to myriad aspects of our culture. That led me to extensive reading of fiction (where I learned about human nature and the complexity of relationships) history (to understand how different cultures evolved) and the U.S. legal system.

Time to just think and be, to allow the ideas and epiphanies that bubble to the surface to be nurtured is important.

I’m making 3 Birches Way for you, hoping that something I write will ease your path or even introduce you to a new branch of it.

My BA is in history, and I was a fair housing attorney in a former life. Since then, I’ve devoted my time to honing the craft of writing.

Over the decades, I’ve been on fascinating creative, healing, and family history journeys full of unexpected turns.

My home is a comfortable retreat where I follow my passions for writing, art and transforming old, worn furniture into conversation pieces.

You could say that I’ve been planting seeds to grow a lush, thriving garden from the rich compost pile from my childhood.

I’m looking forward to all of you being part of that garden.
